Dive Vancouver Island

Explore some of the best dive sites around Nanaimo with The Dive Outfitters. Divers from allover are drawn to Nanaimo for the various artificial reefs, such as the HMCS Saskatchewan, HMCS Cape Breton, and Riv Tow Lion tugboat. Also check out the wolf eels at Clarke Rock, or maybe play with the seals at Snake Island.

Weekly fun dives are planned at local shore sites. Divemasters or insta-buddies are available if you’re in need of a guide or just someone to get wet with. Charter boat dives are also available if you want explore beyond the limits of shore, perhaps to one of the fantastic artificial reefs that are within minutes of the dock.

The staff at The Dive Outfitters are very knowledgeable of the local dive sites and are always willing to offer information and guidance. Maps and descriptions of some of the more popular dive sites are available at the store.

You will find a huge variety of gear and gadgets to fulfill every need. You’ll find some of the best selection on the island – from retractors to rebreathers. Air and nitrox fills are available. Equipment servicing is available if you’re in need of a gear tune-up.

Training is provided for all levels of experience – from snorkeler and open water diver all the way to instructor levels. Courses are offered on weekends and during the week to meet your needs.

  Located just off of the Parkway, we are on the corner of Northfield & Bowen. Hours of operation are Mon-Wed 10am – 6pm,  Thurs-Fri 9am-6pm,  Sat 9am-5pm.
